Stella:Chasing rumors of a legendary beast prowling these mountains sounded like the perfect thrill. When I finally find it, things don’t go as planned—because instead of a mythical creature, I end up spraying a very human, very furious ranger with bear spray. Whoops.

Alex may be intimidating, but he's also as stubborn as I am. Now, the real challenge isn’t finding the beast… It's dealing with a man who might be more than I can handle.Alex:My job as a ranger doesn’t usually include being mistaken for a rampaging bear, but today is apparently special. When Stella shows up—wild-eyed and brandishing bear spray—I’m blinded, furious, and determined to get answers.

But as it turns out, she's searching for something impossible and isn’t willing to leave until she’s satisfied with her findings. Somehow, I can't stop being drawn into her chaos. Even if it makes me the so-called “beast” she’s after.
